Founded in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver, (son of Eunice Kennedy Shriver – the founder of Special Olympics), Best Buddies has grown from one chapter on one college campus to a vibrant, international movement, involving 700,000 participants and 1500 chapters in 54 countries worldwide, and it is now in Northern Ireland. it envisages a world where people with learning disabilities are so successfully integrated into our schools, workplaces and our communities that our services will be unnecessary.  Until that time, our vision is to educate students, employers and communities about the needs and abilities of people with learning disabilities.

If you would like more information on this program, or perhaps you are interested in involving your school or business in Best Buddies, then please contact us at 22 Seymour Street, Ballymoney or call us on 028 2766 9030.
