CAN Can Bazaar

CAN can Bazaar is our boutique-style shop featuring excellent quality pre-loved clothes and unique, up-cycled furniture, pre-loved furniture, CDs, DVDs, books and electrical items as well as showcasing the best of local arts & crafts.

In addition to bringing in a vital income stream, Can Can Bazaar also gives people with learning disabilities the opportunity to experience a REAL work environment and receive training through the WE CAN programme. We currently have 11 adults with learning disabilities training in retail skills. We have hosted Job Hubs (which aim to provide support and guidance in seeking employment) and Retail Workshop days for potential trainees.

“When you donate clothes and other items to CAN, it helps me get valuable work experience in our local shop” Stefan, Sales Assistant from Cloghmills.

CAN Can Bazaar is our Boutique, situated on Main Street, Ballymoney and is open from Monday to Saturday 10am-5pm.

The Bazaar sells unique pieces of upcycled furniture, good quality ‘Previously Loved’ clothes, jewellery, shoes and accessories, along with items such as DVD’s, CD’s and video cassettes, books, toys and bric-a-brac.

We also support over 19 local crafters and artists who have the opportunity to sell their goods whilst supporting the charity.  And for those who love reading, we  operate a ‘Barter Book’ Scheme where you can trade in your second hand books for credit.

With support from the European Union (ESF), DfE and NHSCT as part of the WE CAN Programme, CAN can Bazaar provides the opportunity for people with learning difficulties to experience all aspects of working in a retail environment including working the till, stocking the rails and dealing with customers alongside our volunteers and Shop Manager.
